Mixed Pairs 2019

The Mixed Pairs Competition was held on Friday, May 10th, at Broome Manor Golf Club.  In good weather we introduced four preliminary rounds for the first time, which was well received.

Winners of the Silver Spoon (for the preliminary rounds) were Doreen Burnup and Michael Deegan.

The lowest scoring team in the preliminary rounds were Chris Poole and Roger O’Carroll who were consequently awarded the Wooden Spoon.

The BMP Challenge Shield and Gold Medal was won by Margaret Smith and Gerry Charity

who beat Val Davies and Dick Hardy in the final.

Bronze medals went to Sylvia Phillimore and Richard Head.

In the BMP Plate competition the winners were Sheila Parsons and Vince Osgood .

Thanks are due to Dick Hardy for his organisation.  Unfortunately Dick had to step in to play which meant it was difficult for him to keep tabs on everything.  Problems with the movement of teams between rounds and the score sheet will be addressed before the next competition.  Thanks are also due to Peter Latham, referee, the scorers Doreen Busby and Margaret Palmer, who also presented the prizes and to Chris Valters for taking the photographs

Thanks also to all those who attended.
